In the article, Supplying students subscriptions to New York Times published on March 18, an editorial column by Bret Stephens was instead referred to as an article. The difference between an editorial column and what most people think of when they read the word “article” is that an editorial column is not a news piece. It is instead an opinion piece written by one person and does not reflect the views of an entire publication, unless specified otherwise. Frequent readers of New York Times (NYT) also recognize that Bret Stephens frequently publishes columns of a similar nature and that other authors of NYT frequently publish their own editorial columns that oppose the views of Bret Stephens. In print versions of NYT, these opposing columns are typically run alongside each other. 

Additionally, the subscription isn’t active yet. As of this issue, The Lumberjack is waiting to hear back from the university or Associated Students about when it will be available.

The article, How safe is your bike, misstated that Chief Greg Allen was the chief of the Arcata Police Department (APD). Chief Greg Allen is the chief of the University Police Department (UPD). The article also misstated that the APD offers students who register their bikes with UPD a free U-lock. The UPD provides students with free U-locks upon registering their bikes. 

The article, Redistricting bad for CA, worse for facism, misstated that redistricting would lead to the loss of five democratically elected senators. Redistricting would lead to the loss of five house representatives, not senators.
