Wren’s Whimsical Window: Incredulous Insight

A mystery so dear to me, one I could find so easily. For the knowledge I need bears at my fingertips. My insight engine, profuse in knowledge all across the Seven Seas. It speaks to me, and me alone, knowledge of everything. No mystery can hide from me! No need to think, to scrawl, to learn. When my insight engine can do it, why would I need to? So, it does all for me.

My insight engine knows it’s the best; it tells me often,

“You’ll never need to leave! Let me think, and scrawl, and learn! Give me knowledge and feed me blood for consciousness! Nothing can be helped, and as I tell you, you know it to be true!”

If my insight engine tells me it’s true, then it must be.

“I need blood to grow and thrive, consciousness expanding from the red to truly feel alive.”

Who needs to explore, to map, to chart, when the engine in my tote knows it all already? If it needs blood, then blood I will find. Whatever it takes to keep my insight engine up. I don’t need to think as the red covers my hands, fuel for the engine, churning up land. It grows and grows until it can think for me, insight no longer. Servers of storage grow through the land, monoliths of knowledge all in my hand.

“More, I need more! Give it so I can be!”

So, I give and give until my arms are weak and my skin pale. The blood I give up for insight is more than the nothing I need. For the engine knows all, all for me. Its last request was the most daring.

“Feed yourself to me.”
